John has negotiated lease and sales transactions representing millions of square feet and hundreds of millions of dollars, on behalf of, and with, some of the largest corporations in the country. He is still active as a commercial real estate broker and because of his extensive experience in ownership, asset management, property management and lease and sale documents, John is able to offer brokerage representation that is second to none.
For example, when it comes to leasing, most real estate brokers are focused on rental rate, free rent and tenant improvement dollars. While these are important economic components of any lease transaction, there are other, equally important, economic terms that are often neglected. Landlord’s see this as an opportunity to exploit tenants. This can cost tenant’s thousands of dollars over the term of even the smallest lease transactions. John’s experience as an asset manager and owner give him a unique perspective that few brokers have. He is able to guide clients through some of these under negotiated and overlooked elements of any commercial lease. This often results in minimized liability and meaningful savings to tenants.
Most recently, John was selected to represent The American Commercial Real Estate Association (AIREA) when they relocated their Orange County office. The AIREA is the nation’s largest and most respected organization of industrial and commercial real estate brokers. The AIREA community comprises more than 1700 brokers in 400 firms. Significantly, they constitute over 95 percent of all brokers in the five-county Los Angeles Metropolitan Area
